My brother Steven was an incredibly special soul whose passing has been a profound loss to those who knew him. Below, I’ve gathered a small array of favorite images from Steven’s life, as well as quotes, memories, and stories from his family and friends. I hope this collection inspires us to remember the good times shared, and to live with Steven in our hearts.

“I love you and you know it.”

I could write a book. My favorite times with him were ALL the time. Yeah - he hit some tough patches, no doubt; but inside, he was ALWAYS my beautiful boy, my kind, loving, precious Steven. I will love him until the day I fly outta this sad, effed up world. - Kathy, mother

Some of my favorite times with him were just driving around in his car - even though he often scared me with his driving 😅 - just hanging out, shooting the shit, and listening to him try to sing along to the songs that came on. Even the jammy guitar parts. - Dierdre, sister

Him ending every phone call with “mmmm byeeee. luv u, cuz” […] Also when we were little playing the board game California Raisins and one of the cardboard raisin game pieces went missing bc he ate it. 🤍 - Adra, cousin

One of my fondest memories of Steven is when he came to stay with us in Sarasota for a couple of weeks one summer while we were both still in high school. We drove out to Lido and played beach soccer with some of my friends one night and then drove home afterwards with the windows down, blasting Blink-182. - Olivia, cousin

I really appreciated the chats Steven and I had been having sporadically the last couple years of his life. One of us would just randomly reach out and it would lead to a conversation that would usually span a few days. Sometimes deep, sometimes wacky, but always cherished and always ending with appreciation for each other. - Amanda, long-time friend

Steven was my BUDDY. When he moved to Florida, I had never been so happy. We spent so much time together, but my favorite memories are when he would come spend the weekend at my apartment. We would watch movies, tell each other stories, sing as loud as we could to our favorite songs and he would always leave me with a song. Steven wasn't just my little brother, he was my friend; one of the best. I will always carry him with me through every phase of life and I will always be so proud that I got the important role of being his big sister - Meggan, sister

The first time I met Steve his sister had passed and we were at a mutual friends apartment. We took a walk together and talked and bonded because I lost a sister too. There was this mansion by the lake with all this shit by the sidewalk. We scavenged it and started laughing and found all this amazing blast from the past stuff and carried as much as we could back. Still have a lot of it! - Jake, friend
